escapista – biography:
Separated from birth, escapista has lived of photography following a crooked path where nothing is linear. Bewitched by perception, loneliness and abandonment, his clicks take him to a perceptive context of lonely crawling, where it is not the photographer who chooses his subjects, but it is the latter who pull him by the jacket. In case he wears one.…
In February 2007 he participates with one of his pictures to the collective "We are all photographers" in the Musée de l'Elysée of Lausanne, Switzerland.
April sees his first collaboration with INTERVALLO, on the FUORISALONE of Milan, with the installation titled “Jowlers”.
In June, one of his pictures becomes the image for the “Continental Breakfast” in the BIENNALE of Venice.
In September he founds place on board of “Floating Territory” again in the BIENNALE of Venice, with an installation dedicated to his “Groovy People”.
December sees his participation at the “Collettiva n°3 - Troppe cose da ricordare" in the 400ArtGallery of Milan and one of his pictures is selected for the “I° Premio Asegur-arte 2007” and exhibited in the MUVIM museum of Valencia, Spain
On April 12th 2008 he had his solo exhibition entitled “One night stand” at the TOMMASEO gallery in Trieste, Italy, and on May 4th of the same year he participated in the Italian SLIDELUCK POTSHOW exhibit in Milan.
From June 7th to September 27th part of his work was shown at the SPAC Buttrio (by Udine, Italy) in the collective exhibition called "Anteprima FVG".
His work was published in the 10th issue of Brazilian magazine “IDEAFIXA” and in the 12th issue of Turkish "BAKMAGAZINE". You can see some other works in the 28th Humble Art Foundation's "Group Show", in Polish "MODERNPHOTO", in the 27th issue of Spanish "BELIO MAGAZINE", in the 20th issue of Portuguese "CRU A magazine", (very proudly) in the 26th issue of "I left this here for you to read", in the 4th issue of "INVISIBLECITY" and on the first issue of "Carpaccio Magazine".
Escapista has shot also for young designers such as Zilla, Maclù, Melania Findletar and Studio Cinque e Altro.
Meanwhile, he collaborates with the nice guys at Wonderful Machine.
Seems to his surrounders that he could be affected by a slight form of Asperger's syndrome, but, who doesn’t?
